One of the advantages that Taiwan has is the 25 years of comprehensive aggregated data in the national health insurance(NHI) system. We leverage the NHI digitized data and work with doctors and top scientists to solve complex human health problems.
AILabs.tw partners with The Human Genome Lab on using artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency and quality of personal genome annotation. The platform TaiGenomics, with AI powered algorithms, provides medical experts with more cost-effective and precise prediction and analytics to discover potential disease.
As for medical imaging, we collaborate with Taipei Veterans General Hospital on detection of brain cancer using DeepMets[Video], Taipei Medical University Hospital on earlier warning for sepsis in its intensive care units (ICUs) and Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on the Malaria Diagnostics Project that put AI into improving the diagnosis process of Malaria.
